How to change your DNS or A Records or CNAME or TXT Records

Note: if you have email or website hosting with us, please don't change your default nameservers (ns1.reg.net.au and ns2.reg.net.au) as these services will stop working if you do.

Here's how to make changes to your Nameservers, your DNS, A Records and TXT Records.

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click on MY DOMAINS.
  3. Choose the domain name you want to change DNS, and click on the GREEN SETTINGS button.
  4. On the left margin menu, choose DOMAIN OPTIONS
  5. In the white dropdown menu, choose DNS HOSTING (note, if you have email or web builder services with us, your services will stop working if you change this)
  6. If you are sure, click OK to change the DNS Configuration for your domain name.
  7. Next, click on the DNS MANAGEMENT link below the white dropdown box.

You can now change various DNS, A Records and TXT records according to the instructions given to you by outside software companies.

If you are using an outside company to host your website (eg, Shopify or WIX or Squarespace), we can not provide support for changing your domain records, you will need to ask them for more information in regards to changing the appropriate records and for technical support.

You can watch our instruction video below to perform the tasks mentioned above;
